About KWoC:
Kharagpur Winter of Code is a 5-week long online program for students who are new to open source software development. The program not only helps students to get involved in open source but also prepares them for many open-source summer programs; Google Summer of Code is one of them.
Project Name: Brief-me

Project Description: This is a modern, minimalist, and lightweight URL shortening service. It helps users to build and share powerful short links, keeping a track of click data resulting in increased engagement.

In a month itself they provided us with hand full of projects where we can choose any number projects of our choice.
Based on what I was learning currently that is Mern Stack I chose the project Brief-me.

Worked mainly on the backend of the project and added features such as get user by his/her unique ID and added validation features.

#My experience with KWOC:
My experience with Kharagpur Winter of Code has been very good as I was able to learn how things are to be done with a team with different sets of ideas and also was able to apply things which I was learning by contributing the project. The mentor is also supportive .The useful links provided by him was also very helpful.
#Conclusion
Altogether I’m happy for learning new things here and also very thankful to the kwoc team for conducting such an amazing contest and putting up so many great projects . And I’m looking forward to more such contest.
